QuikWater
Achieves Single-Digit Low NOx EmissionsQuikWater's
99% thermal efficient Low NOx water heaters have
long led the field in water heating environmental
friendliness. But we have not rested on our laurels.
We continue to dedicate large portions of engineering
resources towards improving the product, and to
reduce the emissions to the very lowest obtainable
by current technology.
Those
efforts have paid off, and QuikWater is very proud
to announce a new line of Ultra-Low
NOx heaters that consistently
achieve single digit parts per million of NOx, and
less than 50ppm of carbon monoxide corrected to
3% O2 (Be aware that many
companies claim to achieve low NOx numbers, but
most are not corrected to 3% O2,
and are therefore meaningless). Test data is available
upon request.
Better
yet, we do this while maintaining our 99% thermal efficiency, and still producing water that is clean
and fully potable.
QuikWater
is in the process of completing recertification
in the world's most stringent air quality district,
California's South Coast Air Quality Management
District. Also known as the "Clean Air People",
the South Coast AQMD acts as the smog control agency
for all or portions of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside,
and San Bernardino counties, serving 14 million
people. These new single digit Ultra-Low NOx numbers
will establish a new BACT (Best Available Control
Technology) standard for the SCAQMD, as well as
the federal government's LAER (Lowest Available
Emissions Rate).
What
does this mean for you? If your business is in a
non-attainment area, one piece of the puzzle in
controlling your operation's emissions just went
away. For those of you who are not currently in
a non-attainment zone, the Ultra
Low NOx
heaters provide peace of mind that your operations
will be ahead of government regulators.
