One of the
outstanding features of the QuikWater units (Flagship, Twin Tower, Low NOx, and
NSF), is the guaranteed Potability of the output water, if the input water is also
Potable you will get Potable Water or Potable Hot Water.
Having Potable Water is a huge benefit in the food processing industry, and in
any industry
where changes to the water quality can have a dramatic negative effect on the
manufacturing processes that follow.
Below is the final letter summarizing the extensive water testing protocol
performed by Caldwell Environmental Associates, an independent environmental testing
agency.

Dear Mr. Gibbs:
This is in response to your question regarding the quality of water processed by a
QuikWater unit. Specifically, does the QuikWater heating process contribute contaminants
to the water?
Public drinking water supplies are typically treated with chlorine based compounds
to destroy disease causing microbes and to disinfect the water.
Municipal
water will usually contain very low levels of residual chlorine compounds,
disinfection
by products, and other contaminants from various sources, such as plastic piping. State
health departments regulate the concentration of these contaminants to protect public
health.
QuikWater commissioned Caldwell Environmental Associates Inc. to conduct a
scientific study to determine the effects that the heating process may have on water
quality. Using strict EPA procedures, samples of the City of Sand Springs tap water were
collected and compared before and after heating.
The comparative study determined that the quality of the heated water exceeded the
original quality of the Sand Springs tap water. Within the QuikWater heater, all of the
above-mentioned contaminants are eliminated by vaporizing the substances during the
heating process. The vaporized contaminants are extremely low in concentration and the
resulting stack emissions are negligible.
It is my understanding that QuikWater will furnish complete copies of the
comparative study upon request.
Sincerely,
Dennis J. Hrebec, PhD.
